High-Tech Processing embarked on the challenge of designing, building, and commissioning a Whisky Blending Plant that would redefine industry standards. The plant's mission: to receive raw whisky from esteemed producers in Scotland, expertly blend it, and meticulously chill-filter it to meet the exacting parameters required for bottling.

The project was turnkey in nature, encompassing a myriad of services ranging from process design to construction management. Initially slated for completion within four months, the journey took an unexpected turn during the site investigations phase.

The age of the existing plant and its limited automation capabilities necessitated further upgrades beyond the initial scope. High-Tech Processing rose to the occasion, meticulously planning and executing the installation of a new bulk hot water system, refurbishing and automating the CIP plant, and integrating various manual and closed-loop automated systems on site.

At High-Tech Processing, we believe that collaboration can spark meaningful change, and this belief guided us in supporting the JL Shoes Moshoeu Foundation’s Mo-Shoes-4-U initiative. This annual event, which honors the legacy of John Lesiba 'Shoes' Moshoeu, focuses on uplifting young boys through education, sports, and mentorship—values we deeply resonate with.

This year’s event, held on April 21 at St Matthews Primary School, combined an outdoor reading session and the exciting U9 Dancing Shoes Soccer tournament. It brought together boys aged six to nine, fostering not only their love for sports but also their confidence in learning. We were honored to join forces with the Foundation, alongside other partners like Foord Asset Management, to support this incredible cause.

The Event's Impact

The highlight of the day was a storytelling session led by former professional footballer Tefu Mashamaite, who captivated the young audience with a tale designed to instill confidence in them. His message to the boys—"Confidence will open the right doors for you. Believe in yourself"—echoes the essence of the Mo-Shoes-4-U initiative. The connection between the storytelling and the soccer tournament that followed reinforced the event’s mission: to balance knowledge with talent.

The soccer tournament brought energy to the field, with local teams from schools like Sefika Primary School, Hoernle Primary School, and Jabavu Primary School, competing in a friendly but spirited competition.
